Important information for parents

  • Daily routine- Doors open at 8.45 in the morning. Home time is 3.10.
  • Punctuality- After 9.00 your child will be marked as late. Please report to the office.
  • Attendance- Coming into school every day helps your child settle to into the school’s routine and make friends easily. If your child is unwell, please inform school as soon as possible that they will not be attending.
  • Names on belongings- Please write your child’s name on all of their belongings as jumpers and cardigans can easily become lost.
  • Uniform- consists of a navy blue jumper with or without the school logo, a light blue shirt, grey trousers/skirt/dress and black shoes. No boots for girls. Stud earings only.
  • P.E kit- We have P.E every Friday afternoon please ensure that your child has a white top, black shorts and pumps.
  • Warm clothes- Please put tights on girls during the cold months. Bring hats, gloves scarves, wellington boots (and an extra pair of black shoes for inside). Anything to keep your child warm and dry when outside.
  • Forest School- We will  have forest schools sessions on a Wednesday. Please ensure your child has has appropriate clothing in school for this. A waterproof coat, wellies and warm, old clothes (things you don’t mind getting muddy and wet!).
  • Coat- Bring this everyday as we go outside in all weathers.
  • Independence- Encourage your child to dress and undress by themselves. It takes away a lot of learning time, (especially PE sessions.)
  • Topics- we plan around your child’s interests- please tell us what your child likes to do at home. Our topic this half term is Celebrations.
  • Homework- Given out on a Friday and returned the following Monday.
  • Reading books- reading files to be brought to school everyday.  If the book is lost there will be a £5 charge before the child can get a new book, if they lose their reading file there will be a charge of 50p for a new one. We also give out library books every Momday, please ensure they are returned in order to be given a new one each week.
  • School fund- £1 per week.
  • Observations- We observe the children constantly and note down their progress.. You know your child the best, so it would be good for them if we could work together. Please help by noting down anything you have seen your child at home which you think would be helpful for us to know.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to come and see me!

Thank you.
