We Currently Have a Vacancy for a Lunchtime Organiser

Grade 1 – 6.25 hours per week Hourly Rate of £8.98

 Commencing December 2018

The Governors at St. Malachy’s wish to appoint a Lunchtime Organiser to join our professional and friendly team. 

This position is to support a Nursery child on a 1:1 basis. The position is temporary and is linked to additional emergency funding.

 

The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Lunchtime Organiser.

 

This position is term time only, 6.25 hours per week 11.45am – 1.00pm

Main duties and responsibilities

  1. To communicate with the pupil in their care.
  1. To supervise the 1:1 pupil in the dining area/s and playground.
  1. To help create an atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for the pupil.
  1. To encourage and develop play skills in the Early Years playground (or classroom during wet play).
  1. Attend to the physical needs of the pupil in their care by supporting their physical needs including toileting and handwashing.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate an interest and involvement in working with children and young people
  • Have he ability to understand as well as supervise children and young people
  • Have the ability to develop learning through play.
  • Be able to communicate with others

We Currently Have a Vacancy for a Full -Time Office Administrator Grade 2 - 35 Hours per Week Commencing January 2019

The Governors at St. Malachy’s wish to appoint a full time Office Administrator to join our professional and friendly team. 

 

The successful candidate will report directly to the School Business Manager and work closely with both the Business manager and Head Teacher.

 

This position is term time only, 35 hours per week.  8.30am to 4.00pm

 

The Successful candidate will:

  • Have administrative experience, preferably working in a school environment
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Respect confidentiality at all times
  • Possess good numeracy and literacy skills.  A minimum of grade C in both English and Maths or equivalent is essential.
  • Be a Roman Catholic or sympathetic to the ethos and values of the Faith
  • Have a knowledge of SIMS (a school computer system to manage staff and pupil information) would be advantageous but not essential
